Brief background: There isn't very much known about Touya's history. The son of Fujitaka and Nadeshiko, he is the first heir to the throne of Clow Country. He's also the older brother of the real Sakura-hime, in the midst of her cleansing ritual at the time. When Syaoran appears, Touya makes an immediate move to discover who appeared in the purification grounds with Yukito following closely behind. When he sees it's Syaoran, he takes an immediate dislike to the boy, calling him a brat, and even a castle freeloader later on when walking through the town. Unlike the version of him seen in the earlier chapter of the book, Touya is younger, but only slightly less concerned about the well-being of Clow. It's obvious he takes the initiative to try and protect his sister and his family, as if already preparing for the title that would be in the future.
